this is pretty cool
weekend recapThis weekend I went to Santa Barbara to see my friend Diana graduate from the University of California Santa Barbara. I had to wake up super early on Saturday to drive to my friends house because I was going to carpool with her family. Two hours after leaving her house we checked into the holiday inn and that was when i realized i totally forgot my overnight bag (idiot). I don’t know how I could forget something like that. All of my clothes, my toiletries, make-up, etc.. were in that bag. Luckily, I had put my heels in my purse so i dressed up my jeans and black sweater by throwing those babies on. I didn’t feel too out of place amongst the dresses and suits. Before going to the University, Diana’s family decided to go to lunch. All the restaurants in SB were packed. SB was swarming with graduating students and their proud families. We ended up going to Chilis and then back to the hotel to change (obviously i didn’t change) and then off to to the university. When we got to the school Diana had to leave us to check in. So, her sister Brenda and I walked to find her parents who had arrived about an hour before we did. Her parents scored some pretty sweet seats. The graduation ceremony was OK, but the speaker was horrible. I was bored out of my mind. She kept rambling on about receiving her first electronic book about the Watergate scandal … hello lady!!! Watergate happened like 15 years before i was born. Since i’m about the same age as most of the graduates, i dont think any of them were thrilled with her subject of choice. I thought the graduation speeches were supposed to be inspirational. She should have just read J.K Rowling’s speech to the Harvard Graduates entitled “The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination”. I’m sure the students would have appreciated that more. The ceremony went on and Diana walked across the stage. I shot a little video of her name being called on my Blackjack.
After the ceremony we went back to the Hotel popped open a bottle of champagne and began to celebrate. We went to downtown SB to have some dinner and then came back to the hotel to get ready to go out. We drove around for a while until we finally decided that it would be better if we just went to Albertsons, got some drinks and partied in the room since no one wanted to be the DD and every person in the city of SB were trying to get cabs. We ended up having a few drinks, watching sex and the city and forensic files before falling asleep. We woke up the next morning and drove back to LA. Sunday, i went to see the hulk with my little brother. I thought it was a freaking awesome movie. On the way home i couldn’t help but flex, put my hands together and yell out “HULK SMASH” before slamming my fists on the dashboard over and over and over again. go see The Incredible Hulk.
im boredim bored with this layout already. its too dark. summertime calls for some summer colors. p.s. this song is my favorite for today.

Later that night, a few of my little brother’s friends came over. We attempted to play the guitar and grabbed some In N Out. Saturday: I went on a pretty long bike ride. I left my house at 9:30am and decided I was going to check out the LA River Bed. I went east on Gage, South on Florence, hopped on the river bed bike trail and proceeded South until i got to Somerset in the city of Paramount. I rode East on Somerset all the way to Bellflower Blvd, where i decided to turn around and go back home. I continued my ride North on Bellflower stopped by Independence Park in Downey to watch one of my dad’s softball teams practice. I left the park and wound up going North on Lakewood Blvd. Then i hit Florence and went East. I found this riverbed and did some riding around and ended up on Gage Ave. I was too tired to ride the rest of the way so I caught the bus for the rest of the ride home. My total bike ride was around 18mi.
After the bike ride, I went to my friend Nickey’s house. We hung out for a while and then went to the store and bought a few cases of Red Stripe the Jamaican Lager. It was my first time ever drinking Red Stripe and I must’ve had too many because by 11 or 12 (im not too sure) I was passed out on my friend’s couch. It might have just been the bike ride that drained me out. Sunday: I slept most of the day. I decided to ride my bike to the music store to get a string for my guitar. I watched some of the Laker game and then went to Target to get dog food for my dog. I also found out that my cousin Jessica ( I was the Maid of Honor in her wedding) is have a baby!! She’s due in March. I couldn’t be happier for her and her husband Travis. Looks like i’m gonna be an auntie That’s all I got for ya today.
